Ionia

Ionia Ionia (Ἰωνία or Ἰωνίη) was an Ancient Greek settlement in the Anatolia region of mondern day Turkey. Had adapted the Phoencian phonics alphabet to Greek and played an important role in the development of Grecian art, philosophy, science and culture.

Notable Ionians thinkers include Thales, Anaximander, Anaximenes, and Pythagoras.
