Taking pictures is easy. digital camera technology has advanced to the point where one can simply point and click a camera and get a decent shot.
The hard part of photography these days is putting the millions of photos taken each day context.
I've found it a breeze to take hundreds of interesting photos each day. Writing an essay or putting labels on a gallery is much more difficult.
My two main stabs at putting photos in context is a gallery site called Proto Photo. I've also taken stabs at writing photo essays on blog.
My blog software does not have a good index feature; So, I created this section of the y-intercept to serve as an index to the photo essays. The articles to the left cover major interests in my photo taking, such as "flowers" or "community".
Other indexes on this site include: Community (which has articles about communities), Current Events (which is an index to articles on current events), and Themes (which has articles on abstract philosophical themes).
