Health Care
For several years, I worked on programs for the actuarial analysis of insurance claims and premiums. My conclusion after this work is that the Insurance industry is the primary problem with health care.
Insurance removes ownership of health care from the people and transfers it into the hands of the bureaucrats.
The best answer to the supposed health care crisis isn't to socialize health care, but to break the hold of employer funded insurance.

- Workers Comp (added 2007-12-06 by kd) I note that workers compensastion has improved workers safety. The company controls conditions in the work place; so making them pay health care costs associated with their decisions forces better practices.
- Right Direction for Heath Care (added 2007-12-05 by kd) My suggestion is that people favoring free market reform of health care should concentrate on what free market health care does right. I suggest that the Doula Industry is a good example of the direction free market health care would take.
